On his show, The Debate with Arnab, Goswami mentioned annual “surgical strikes” against Pakistan and claimed that “ "We're the bosses of global cricket and BCCI control ICC."

Such ludicrous claims are not only arrogant but dangerously inflammatory. This kind of rhetoric, filled with hate and divisiveness, disrespects the principles of fair play and unity that cricket represents. Goswami’s rhetoric reflects a broader trend in Indian media, which increasingly mixes nationalism with cricket, turning it into a tool for political propaganda.
